Kathryn Filipek has been a Physician Assistant in Dermatology since 2001. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1995, a Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University in Florida in 1999, and her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska in 2000. For several years after graduation, Kathryn worked in cardiovascular surgery and then cardiology before taking a job with a busy South Florida dermatology office. After working there for seven years, she and her family relocated to Milton, Georgia in 2007. Since that time, Kathryn has been seeing both general and cosmetic patients in the Atlanta area and is excited to now be practicing closer to home.
Over her many years as a dermatology PA, Kathryn has gained expertise in treating a broad range of medical complaints, including acne and rosacea, skin cancer, eczema, alopecia/hairloss, warts and rashes, to name a few. She also offers a wide array of cosmetic and anti-aging treatments including Botox® and Fillers, laser therapies, sclerotherapy and chemical peels.
Kathryn enjoys spending time with her husband, her two teenage daughters, and her dog, while traveling, hiking, and enjoying the great outdoors. Some of her hobbies include running, tennis, kickboxing, triathlons, and more recently, golf.
