Kybella

Kybella

We go our whole lives trying to control our fat, and there are plenty of places on our body we can do that. We can lift weights to take out the fat on our stomachs and legs, and we can use certain dermal fillers to eliminate some of the fat in our faces, but what can we do about the dreaded double chin?

The double chin is an annoyance that affects millions of people around the world and, until now, there hasn’t been a good solution to get rid of it.  This is where Kybella® comes in. Kybella® is an FDA-approved dermal shot that is proven to eliminate the fat that causes a double chin without the use of invasive surgeries.

What is Kybella®?

Kybella® is a non-surgical method for getting rid of your double chin by attacking what creates it: excess fat. Kybella® works by mimicking deoxycholic acid, which is a natural way your body absorbs fat. By absorbing the fat in your double chin, Kybella® can slowly reduce the double chin’s effect.

What is the process like?

The process for eliminating your double chin with Kybella® begins with your consultation. By meeting with a member of our medical team, we can discuss your beauty goals and plan your future appointment.  It’s at this time that we’ll go over the best ways to prepare for your procedure, including which vitamins to avoid and how you can take care of your skin.

Once you come in for an appointment, we will start by giving you a topical numbing gel on your chin. The process of injecting the Kybella® involves a thin needle, which means the pain felt is comparable to a slight pinprick. Once the Kybella® is injected, we will go over the best practices for after your appointment. Each procedure is done within the same day and features no downtime

The most common side effects of Kybella® are tenderness and swelling around the injection site. There may also be some skin sensitivity and bruising, but these side effects last only a short time and are minor. It’s also important to take care of the skin around the injection so that you will see the best results. This includes avoiding heavy moisturizers, avoiding prolonged, direct sun exposure and avoiding manipulating the area around the chin.

Results of your procedure can be seen after a few days, but the best results are captured after multiple appointments. Once you have completed your first procedure, we will create a schedule for your return visits and follow-up appointments.

A double chin can make an otherwise fit body look old and ugly. Make your chin and neck as tone as your abdomen with Kybella®. Call and schedule your consultation appointment today!
