Efficient and courteous

Category: skin cancer & mohs surgery * Individual results may vary.Everyone I encountered at Premier was top notch, friendly and personable, from the person who checked me in to the person who checked me out. Amanda and Dr.Taylor kept me informed about what was happening and what I could expect. Before I even checked in, they called me to let me know that they had started the day with a couple of complex surgeries and that things were running slow. They advised me to come in an hour later than originally scheduled. I thought that was very professional of them. While my appointment was an hour late, their call allowed me to do some other things and not have to sit in their waiting room stewing about their lateness, very courteous of them. Dr. Taylor is a super physician, really explains things, answers all questions completely, and is a great surgeon...only three years to graduate from Harvard and then Vanderbilt medical school!, His knowledge and intelligence are the best, yet his personable and caring manner are what makes him great. He is simply the best. I recommend him and his staff 100%, everyone I encountered at Premier was caring, friendly and knowledgeable.

Category: skin cancer & mohs surgery * Individual results may vary.I recently moved to Atl this year and after looking at reviews and location, picked Dr. Taylor! I feel God was guiding me when this group popped up in my search! Dr. Taylor is smart, compassionate, thorough and takes the time to explain and listen!! Having someone who can find skin cancers before it’s a problem, do the Mohs, then use his plastic surgery skills to finish up, that’s a triple threat! Then there’s his staff!!! They are kind, attentive and filled with compassion. Heather is my new friend!! She made me feel comfortable, showed me she cared and was well trained in so many areas from nursing to surgery assist! She really relieved my stress and told me step by step what’s next and what to expect. She’s a busy lady doing an excellent job!! I’ve moved a lot and this is my top pick in Drs. They won’t disappoint! Even short handed when a nurse called out sick, they all picked up the slack, apologized for extra wait, pulled together to still take amazing care of me!! A+ care!! Thank you!

Category: medical dermatology * Individual results may vary.I've had at least 20 excisions. None of them with Dr. Taylor. I changed to his practice after reading his article on the overuse of excisions for atypical moles. After seeing him for a skim exam he pointed out several precancers on my forehead and scalp. He discussed light therapy with me and encouraged me to give it a try in the winter. I had several treatments and now all of the crusty red spots are gone. Turns out they were all precancers.
Saved my life

Category: skin cancer & mohs surgery * Individual results may vary.I don't know why I went in for a skin check. I kept seeing Dr. Taylor's ad in the paper and finally decided to make an appointment. I haven't been to the dermatologist in maybe 7 years. He gave me a very thorough skin exam which and explained to me the difference between my various spots and what to look out for. I was really impressed that he searched my hair for so long and in between my toes. Sure enough he found a melanoma in my hair. I was shocked. He removed the melanoma with Mohs surgery and now there isn't even a bald spot. I really appreciate the time he took with me and know it would have been over looked by a doctor that loads his schedule with a patient every five minutes.
Mohs

Category: skin cancer & mohs surgery * Individual results may vary.I decided to give Dr. Taylor a try after reading his credentials. I've had 2 full body skin exams with him and on my first visit he did 2 biopsies and they both came back cancers. I assumed I would have to get them done separately since the last Mohs surgeon I went to made me do everything separately. Dr. Taylor took care of both in one visit and did a great job. You cant tell there was ever anything there. I appreciate him being more reasonable and understanding of his patients' time and finances. He is a skilled surgeon and a good guy.
Mohs Surgery

Category: skin cancer & mohs surgery * Individual results may vary.I had a rather large squamous cell on my lip and was terrified to get it worked on. I transferred my care to Dr. Taylor because of his reviews and experience. The staff warned me that surgery on the lip is painful and a hard few nights during recovery. And it was!!! I would have been devastated upon looking in the mirror had Dr. Taylor not taken the time to explain the "flap" he was doing on my wound. I left there with so many stitches zig zagging all around. It's been 15 weeks and my lips look amazing. All of my friends are astounded that the area is so well healed and not at all noticeable. If there was a way to give Dr. Taylor and his staff 10 stars I would! If you are unlucky enough to need Mohs surgery, then at least do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Taylor.
Mohs surgery

Category: skin cancer & mohs surgery * Individual results may vary.I was very nervous and worried about the pain associated with the Mohs surgery on my nose since the nose ares is very vascular. I will say that is was quite painful, but Dr. Taylor and Heather were amazing. They made me feel like I was in the hands of someone that really cared. I can be a bit frantic at times and Heather took her time to calm me and reassure me that all was going quite well. I was also worried I would have a large scar on my rather small nose, but today I got my stitches out and it doesn't look so bad. It appears like it will heal rather nicely with maybe a small line. Thanks Heather and Dr. Taylor for all you did to make my scary time a whole lot easier.

Patient Advocate

Category: medical dermatology * Individual results may vary. After reading his articles in the Milton Herald I decided to give Dr. Taylor a try. He wrote about several things that I could relate to: one of which being the over removal of moles. His office is nice, clean, bright and offers plenty of easy parking. The women at the front desk are pleasant, calm and seem to genuinely like their job. I did have to wait a bit but understand that he does surgeries in the mornings that can extend into the afternoon. The reason this wasn't an issue is because he gave me plenty of time and attention when it was my turn. I think we spoke of my various issues for over 30 minutes. I never felt like he was trying to leave the room or move on to another patient. I think it was worth the wait. Dr. Taylor offered me some other options to a pathology report I brought in with me. We actually settled on a topical cream instead of surgery. It's nice to see a surgeon not pushing surgery! Also, he was very kind to look up and see which pharmacy was selling the prescriptions for the cheapest and informed me of goodrx.com. I really felt that he was/is a great patient advocate who actually chooses the right solution on a per patient basis over a financial incentive. Dr. Taylor is very easy going, supportive, listens intently and answers questions with patience and with great thought. He is very knowledgeable not just in dermatology but also other fields. I highly recommend him and will happily return.
Pleasant, professional and great results

Category: skin cancer & mohs surgery * Individual results may vary.I had the misfortune of needing MOHS surgery on the tip of my nose due to a squamous cell. I just moved to Johns Creek and my neighbor recommended Dr. Taylor. His credentials gave me the confidence to come and meet him for a consult, which I understand is not required but which made me feel better about my choice to proceed with the surgery with him. His entire staff was wonderful. The office is beautiful, bright, clean and comfortable for the long MOHS day. The nurses constantly checked on me between "layers". It's been 3 months since my surgery and the result is perfection. I was a bit worried when I originally took off the bandage because there were quite a few more stitches than I thought there would be but it blended away and is not at all noticeable. I cannot give anyone are higher recommendation.

Dr. Taylor takes him time with you and explains what he sees and what he is going to do. He has a calm demeanor and makes things simple to understand! His assistant is as equally as nice and professional! His office staff are friendly and user friendly from a patient's standpoint! The office is clean and very inviting to patients. I would highly recommend this practice and Dr. Taylor!
No more swelling or discomfot

Category: vein care * Individual results may vary.Had my varicose veins treated by Dr. Taylor. I needed 3 vein ablations and one chemical ablation over the course of a few weeks for 4 different major veins. The symptoms continued to get significantly better each time. Recovery felt like a constant tight muscle. Much like after exercising too hard. It is not really pain just tightness. My ankle and calf swelling resolved almost immediately. It took several weeks for all of my visible bulging veins to completely disappear. The most annoying part of the process were the compression stockings that had to be worn post op because of the difficulty getting them on. Very thankful I decided to finally get my legs looked at.
Blue Light Is The Best!
by Marc
Category: skin cancer & mohs surgery * Individual results may vary.My introduction to Dr. Taylor came from reading his educational columns in the Milton Herald where I became increasingly interested in his Photodynamic, or “Blue Light, therapy. After playing whack-a-mole with some annoying actinic keratosis (AK) reaccurances on my temples, I decided to give Dr. Taylor and blue light a try. The process begins with an assistant applying a cleanser to your skin, in my case my face. Following the cleansing, a clear, light-bodied lotion is applied. Afterwards, you spend your next hour in comfortable reclining chairs, in a private waiting area, watching TV and reading magazines while the medicine cures. When your hour is up your assistant will lead you back into the first room, lie you back on the examining table, position a small, concave lighting device (blue light) near your face and hand you two handheld fans to keep you comfortable. Sixteen minutes later your assistant will return and instruct you to wash your face and apply the provided lotion/sunscreen. That’s it! I’m pretty fair but the only post procedure coloring changes I noticed was a very slight redness resembling maybe a modest wind burn which went away by the next day. The results were fantastic! A problem AK on my temple was gone in 48 hours. Dryness on my forehead vanished and my skin generally looked smoother. When I returned to Dr. Taylor a month later for a followup, my few remaining AKs were addressed with simple cryo treatments. I could not be happier and think you will be too! Thanks Dr. Taylor!!!

Category: medical dermatology * Individual results may vary.I had a horrible rash on my face for 6 year. The majority of it was around my eyes. It was thick and bright red and very itchy. Six years of misery and very limited cosmetics! I had been to 3 dermatologists and even gotten patch testing. Dr. Taylor listened to my plight, specifically that it was all around my eyes and making the lids swell enough to affect my vision. He waited for me to finish and explained that he was almost certain it was my artificial nails. He pointed out another small patch of rash on my neck where he said I most likely rest my hand. He told me to have them taken off, apply a prescription for itching relief and wait. Four weeks later and THE RASH IS COMPLETELY GONE! Six years I waited to have some answer. Six years and I simply took my nails off at his urging and it cleared up. I can wear make up again, contacts, mascara! Seeing him was life changing. I cannot recommend him enough!!!

Category: medical dermatology * Individual results may vary.Easy to get an appointment, big, nice and new office. Answered all of my questions and was satisfied with his answers and suggestions. Really appreciate that he kept finances in mind and explained my options from that standpoint as well. Even gave me a coupon for my prescription and several samples. Dr. Taylor was welcoming and knowledgeable and the visit was fluid & effective. Exactly was healthcare should be

Appreciate his expertise
by JimmyT
Category: skin cancer & mohs surgery * Individual results may vary.Dr. Taylor immediately put me at ease! He is calm, warm, factual, congenial and took his time to explain my options for the skin cancer on my nose. I never felt like he was trying to sell my on one option over another but rather presenting statistics and facts. He did give me his opinion when I asked for it. We ultimately chose Mohs surgery and it was a much easier process than I expected. And the surgical waiting room is great! Was able to lay back in a recliner and watch Netflix while I waited. I highly recommend Dr. Taylor.
Took great care of my mom
by Bethany Miles
Category: skin cancer & mohs surgery * Individual results may vary.We were referred to Dr. Taylor by my mom's dermatologist in Alpharetta. The office manager Ashley was extremely helpful in arranging our surgery time, preparing us for what to expect and even given us landmarks as directions to the office. The office is beautiful! And the Mohs patients waiting room is as heavenly as I guess something can be while having surgery. Mom fell asleep easily between additional "layers." Leather recliners, HGTV and my ipad kept me busy. And the staff checked on us constantly. So friendly and patient in answering our questions. I cannot thank these folks enough for being so comforting. This is the first time my family has dealt with cancer of any type and their helpfulness really put us at ease.

Category: skin cancer & mohs surgery * Individual results may vary.I was referred to Dr. Taylor for Mohs surgery for a very large basal cell on my forehead. My referring dermatologist warned me that this one was a doozy and would be a substantial surgery. Well, Dr. Taylor never made me feel like it was notable large! He and his staff did a great job explaining the procedure and making me feel calm and well taken care of during the process. Even with a large cancer, the scar on my head is rapidly fading and almost unnoticeable and it has only been 8 weeks. I highly recommend Dr. Taylor.
